GMT Planet reader
Planet reader support
Read your Planet book, review its original cards in GMT, then choose when to save it.
Get ready
You need an invited GMT account and authorized access to Planet. Use Planet and GMT in the same Chrome or Microsoft Edge browser.
Browser-store installation is not available yet. Sign in to GMT for the current reader setup instructions. Keep an existing reader installed if it holds captures you need.
Reader 1.6.18 uses your GMT sign-in to unlock encrypted local captures. You need an internet connection to unlock them. Earlier developer captures require an explicit ownership confirmation before they are migrated into encrypted storage.
Reader 1.6.27 preserves earlier captures while upgrading local storage. Once this browser has upgraded, it needs reader 1.6.27 or a later compatible reader. Returning to reader 1.6.26 or earlier will not restore access. Keep the existing extension and browser profile; your GMT account and unlock process stay the same.
Start, review and save
- Open Planet's desktop Lead Inbox, sign in and choose Me in the Agent filter.
- Open Scrape in GMT and check setup. If several Planet Inboxes are open, choose the one you intend to read.
- If GMT finds earlier local captures, confirm that they belong in your signed-in GMT account before choosing Encrypt and keep earlier captures. Sign into their owner's account if it is different.
- When setup is ready, select Start scraping once. Keep both GMT Scrape and the selected Planet tab open while it reads both markets. Leave the Planet tab alone during the read.
- To stop, select Stop scraping and wait for the reader to settle. A stopped or failed read is incomplete. Resolve the reported problem, then start a fresh read.
- A completed read becomes available in GMT for review. Save leads in GMT uploads the capture and its originals to your account. Reading Planet does not make calls or update Planet records.
If the reader is blocked
- Finish or cancel an open Planet dialog yourself, then check setup again. GMT will not dismiss an edit you opened.
- If multiple Inboxes are listed, choose the intended one in GMT. You can keep the other tabs open.
- If more than one reader is enabled, keep one enabled and refresh GMT. Preserve captures before changing or removing an installation.
- Close older extension result windows if local storage is blocked, then check setup again. Keep the reader installed so its saved captures remain available.
- If the reader needs unlocking again, sign into the intended GMT account and check setup. An earlier completed capture may still be available separately from a failed attempt.
Contact support
Email neumanic2@gmail.com. Include the reader version, browser version, the step that failed and the Copy support details summary from GMT Scrape.
Do not attach passwords, verification codes, security keywords, complete lead exports or original lead images to an initial email. Check screenshots for personal information before sending them. If specific source evidence is needed, GMT will request it separately with your explicit consent.
Privacy and deletion requests use the same contact. The reader privacy notice explains storage, retention and the manual request process.
